At Humber College, there is MyHumber App, while it was a good idea to have a designated app for the school, the app was very overwhelming. The purpose of this application was to create a simple app that would allow students to follow the events going on.
While starting off I wanted to create a club management and events app, however it became a little overwhelming and I ended up keeping it streamlined with just events.
Taking the school's color scheme as well as IOS visual design, I created a style that was simple and easy to read. With a straight forward design, it allows the user to read and understand how the application works. While I have made small alterations since the project has finished, it was minor shifts such as synchronized icon placements as I was originally learning Illustrator at the time.

While there were different ideas of how to filter events, such as swiping to teach an algorithm feed. I felt a more simple approach for students from multiple backgrounds and different degrees of app knowledge would work more straight forward.
