I was originally approached to look at a website and give some suggestions for the site. When I first saw it, I gave some comments on how it should have been structured. I unfortunately do not have an image of the site as it has been changed and moved away. However, I have the changes as well as the updates that I had done as a suggestion.
The basic idea of the website was to be able to book someone to help you move as well as the vehicle.
Mover was the site I had redesigned taking inspiration from the original site as well as some suggestions from the client. The design I chose was very simple, modern and black and white. While I personally would have liked to have had an accent colour, I was not given any more instructions afterwards. For the visuals I had split strips that could be moved around if the client had more liked or wanted the design there.

When I first saw the website, it had a bunch of functions that would require a lot of time and maintenance. While I had chosen to take a few functions out, it maintained the basic functions.
What I kept was the function to sign up as a mover, get a mover and signing in and out of the site. The major functions I had removed was the yardsale as well as blog functions. I found the yardsale function was rather different from a moving premise and thought that a more simple and single function site would be more beneficial. I also wanted to remove the blog as it would require a lot of maintenance and for a moving company would also seem a little jarring.
The first draft of the website takes the template of the original website and cuts down on the functions and makes the system more streamlined for a user. Taking very simple steps to get to what was needed. The site itself at the time was unfinished thus I was unable to cut and edit many of the sections, however I had created a straightforward layout that could be worked on in the future.
